BabyKeyboard Lock Beta
BabyKeyboard Lock is a MacOS app that locks your keyboard to prevent unwanted inputs, while your baby can still smash and have fun with your keyboard.
The App is built with Swift & SwiftUI, the current size is only 1.3 MB. You can
download it
for free, macOS 11+ are supported.
Features
- Lock your keyboard to prevent unwanted inputs, including media keys and Power button
- Configurable fun effects, confetti, read the pressed key, read a word that starts with the pressed key, more effects coming.
- Hot Corner: quickly lock/unlock by moving the mouse to the top-right corner of the screen
- No visible window is created, so you can still read your webpage or movie as normal
- A Menu bar only App, and you can toggle keyboard lock with a global shortcut
Limitations
- It works with Touch Bar in always show the function keys or media controls. If you need to turn off touch bar, I recommend you check KeyboardCleanTool
- The App can't be published on the App Store because of Apple's Sandbox policy
Privacy
The app doesn't collect any data, nor need network connection. It's released with GitHub CI for transparency, you can review the source code and compile it yourself if desired.
